Egyptian Premier League side Entag El-Harby has discovered 18 new cases of COVID 19 in the team after undergoing the Egyptian FA’s (EFA) mandatory swab test.

In preparation for the return of the Egyptian Premier League, many teams have resumed group training sessions and have been going in closed training camps across the country.

This includes Entag El-Harby, who found 18 positive corona cases upon their return from Sharm El-Sheikh, according to the head of the EFA’s medical committee Mohamed Sultan.

One of the cases that is feared to be positive is Ugandan Forward Derrick Nsibambi who joined the Club from KCCA FC on a three-year deal in 2018.

“We found 18 positive cases at Entag El-Harby,” Sultan told OnTime Sports 2 TV.

“The team was in a closed camp in Sharm El-Sheikh for a week and upon their return, they did the PCR test and found 18 positive cases.

“Everyone that traveled with the team had tested negative beforehand.

“Everyone needs to respect the necessary precautions and the players should avoid getting into contact with each other as it is probably the reason the virus was spread.

“Each one of the players will be quarantined at home for 10 days before undergoing another swab test.

“Most of them don’t have symptoms or very minor symptoms,” he concluded.
